Mr. zhang huazhong attended the second Scottish China Youth Summit

The second Scottish China Youth Summit by Scottish China Education Network(SCEN) was hold in famous Gleneagles hotel on Nov.27. Mr. Zhang huazhang , deputy consul general of Chinese consulate general in Edinburge, Dr. Alesdair Allen , minister of learn, science and Scottish language and . President of SCEN Lord Wilson of Tillyorn KT GCMG PRSE attended the grand event.

Mr. zhang delivered a speech. He appreciated SCEN’s effort to promote Chinese language and culture as well as Scottish friends’ exchange and cooperation with their Chinese counterparts. Meanwhile, he encouraged young people to learn different language and exchange different culture. He said, Chinese new leadership has raised the concept of China Dream and China is comprehensively deepening its reform to make China Dream come true, which will not only benefit Chinese people but also the people of the rest countries in the world, including Scottish people. He promised Chinese consulate general will continuously work together with Scottish government and related organization to enhance the further mutual exchange and communication.

Mr. Allen said in his address that Scottish government attach great importance to the relations between Scottish and China , particularly in cultural and educational field, Scotland actively enhance the development of Confucius Institute and Confucius Classroom as well as Chinese language course in Scottish middle school.

The students and teachers who come from ten Scottish middle schools shared their experience and gain during learning Chinese with around 300 audiences, and the representative from public sector and private sector gave their advice about Chinese language study and China’s role in the world to the young people.
