Vice Minister of OCAO He Yafei Visited Scotland

The Vice Minister of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of People's Republic of China visited Scotland from Dec.12 to 13. He met with the representatives of Overseas Chinese and students in Scotland , and called on some elderly overseas Chinese in Edinburgh during his visit.

Addressing a symposium attended by the representatives of Overseas Chinese community, Overseas Chinese professionals and students in Scotland in the Consulate General of China, Vice Minister He Yafei gave his warm greetings to Overseas Chinese and students. He briefed them on the Decision on Major Issues Concerning Comprehensively Deepening Reforms approved by the 3rd Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee , and encouraged them to contribute to making the China Dream come true and to play a positive role for the development of relations between China and Scotland. He said the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of State Council will continue to help Overseas Chinese and students.

Accompanied by the Chinese consular officers in Edinburgh, Vice Minister He Yafei also called on the elderly Overseas Chinese living in retirement home in Edinburgh, and chatted with members of Edinburgh Elderly Support Association. He wished them good health and longevity.
